The Food Bank of Lincoln

A member of Feed America, the Food Bank of Lincoln works tirelessly to support the local community. We launched a campaign to support their work during our fiscal year kick-off. Through donated items and time, this resulted in over 5,600 meals provided to people in southwest Nebraska.

Habitat for Humanity – Pennsylvania

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Various DataBank teams across the country volunteered this year to support this vision.

Department of Justice & Drug Enforcement Administration Summit

This spring, the DOJ & DEA hosted a summit on the Fentanyl epidemic our country is facing. Tabbatha Urbanski, a Solution Engineer at DataBank, utilized a volunteer time off day in April to serve on a panel at the summit.

Volunteer Time Off

Every DataBank employee receives one paid Volunteer Time-Off (VTO) day per year to participate in volunteer activities. We’ve seen employees help out at many 501c3 organizations like: 

      • Food banks across the country
      • The Bike Experience
      • Foster care
      • Animal rescue
      • Home building and preservation for people in need
      • and more.

Why it matters.

The DataBank Gives Back program began in 2021 as a simple Slack channel for sharing community involvement, posting GoFundMe links, and connecting with one another. It has grown into a key part of our employee experience, leading to the creation of our volunteer time off days (VTO), annual donation drives, and more.
